In the latest issue of Complex Magazine, G.O.O.D. Music artists cover the publication. It featured a cover image showcasing stylishly arranged faces of the crew that formed in the shape of a cross. However, the most intriguing part of the artists’ exposure in the limelight is the accompanying interview for the magazine’s latest issue.
During the group interview, the artists discussed the influence of Kanye West to their craft, including the writing and recording processes. They also talked about what’s changed for the imprint through the years.

Meanwhile, 2 Chainz caught the attention of many hip-hop followers during the interview. The American rapper, who has worked with Kanye lately and appeared with the crew during live performances, explained his true standing with the label. He enthused:
I’m not officially signed, paperwork-wise, to G.O.O.D. Music. But I have a great rapport with ’Ye. He called me before Watch the Throne came out. I’m an only child. I’ve got trust issues. So I don’t have a best friend, a brother, sister—nothing. Stuff was happening in my life that I couldn’t tell nobody. I didn’t have anybody in my life that I could tell, like, ‘’Ye just called me.

Well,to the African fans of G.O.O.D Music, we would have loved to see our own Dbanj in the cover photo who have been signed to the Label since 2011.

Paul McCartney Earned $1.57 For Olympic Performance

As most of us know, Sir Paul McCartney performed an awesome rendition of ‘Hey Jude’ at the London Olympics. You might think, a high profile performer like that, I mean he WAS in The Beatles, would cost quite a pretty penny. Turns out that’s not the case. He earned 1£ which is equivalent to $1.57! Whoa!!! I wanna book him! Keep reading to find out why it cost so little!
From Rolling Stone:
Despite the grandeur of the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony, the musicians involved – including former Beatle Paul McCartney – earned a mere 1 pound, or $1.57, for their services, reports the Associated Press. Olympics organizers say the small sum was paid to the music stars in order to make their contracts binding.
McCartney performed a rousing rendition of “Hey Jude” at the ceremony, while rockers the Arctic Monkeys played the Beatles’ “Come Together” as well as their own hit, “I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor.” Rapper Dizzee Rascal, Mike Oldfield and Emeli Sande also performed at the ceremony, which was watched by an average 42 million people worldwide. Director Danny Boyle directed the spectacular presentation, while dance icons Underworld served as music directors.

Charlie Sheen: I'm Not Insane Any More

Anger Management star Charlie Sheen has declared that he is not insane any more, as he announced that the comedy is set to be extended to 100 episodes.
Sheen had a high profile spat with the producer of his previous series Two And A Half Men which, along with his erratic personal life, resulted in him being fired from the show.
But he said he has put all that behind him, telling reporters that Anger Management is poised to get an order for 90 more - and his father Martin Sheen is set to become a regular cast member.
The FX cable TV comedy is half way through its initial 10-episode run, and Sheen said the prospect of continuing is as "exciting as hell". And he joked: "I don't think 90's gonna be enough."
Speaking of his tumultuous departure from Two And A Half Men and the stormy aftermath last year, he said it was like a dream he couldn't wake up from.
Or like "a train I couldn't get off of, except that I was the conductor", he added, speaking in quick bursts and fidgeting in his chair.
He said he learned a lot from that period, including "stick to what you know".
And referring to his disastrous My Violent Torpedo Of Truth/Defeat Is Not An Option tour in spring 2011, he was greeted with laughter when he advised: "Don't go on the road with a one-man show in 21 cities without an act."
He summed up: "I'm not insane anymore."
Sheen senior will play the father of Charlie Goodson, the anger-management therapist played by his son.
The veteran actor, who played President Jed Bartlet in the drama series The West Wing, is already guest-starring on one Anger Management episode.
Charlie said: "I think that was the best episode we did."
Adding Sheen senior to the series "will give an extra dimension and make it a multi-generational family show," said FX boss John Landgraf as he made the announcement.
Executive producer Bruce Helford explained that extending Anger Management's run so dramatically would call for filming a total of 100 episodes in just two years - a cost-saving exercise that allows no time for rehearsals.
"The actors get the lines, we see the scene, the writers make changes, the actors go to makeup, cameras are blocked, we come back together and shoot the scene," he explained.

Killer of three in Jennifer Hudson's family gets life

The man convicted of murdering Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and young nephew was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday, with the judge in the case deriding him as a man with "the heart of an arctic night."

William Balfour had been convicted in May of breaking into the Hudson family home and fatally shooting Hudson's mother Darnell Donerson, 57, her brother Jason Hudson, 29, and her 7-year-old nephew Julian King.

Cook County Judge Charles Patrick Burns sentenced Balfour to three consecutive life terms with no opportunity for parole, plus 120 years for aggravated kidnapping and home invasion. Prior to announcing his sentence, Burns told Balfour: "You have the heart of an arctic night.

Your soul is as barren as dark space." Hudson, wearing a tan pantsuit with a black jacket and high heels, wiped her eyes frequently during the sentencing hearing. Hudson, who won an Academy Award for her role in the movie "Dreamgirls" and a Grammy for her debut album, left the court without making a statement.

Balfour's motive was jealousy of his estranged wife Julia Hudson, Jennifer's sister, whom he threatened numerous times, saying he would kill her after he killed her family, according to witnesses at the 11-day trial that ended with his conviction on May 11.

Gregory King, father of Hudson's murdered 7-year-old nephew Julian, spoke to the court before the sentencing. When King learned that his son had been killed, "Instantly it was like a chunk of my heart was ripped out," he said. "I felt hopeless. I was filled with rage for William Balfour, the man who murdered my son."

Hudson was the first witness in Balfour's trial. She said she had known him since grade school and had never liked him. Speaking before the sentence was rendered, Balfour offered "my condolences" to the victim's family and his prayers to Julian King. "I still do love him," he said. He also repeated his claim of innocence. Burns dismissed Balfour's expression of love for Hudson's nephew. "To tell us in open court that you loved that child is an insult to all of us," Burns said. Balfour's attorneys said they planned to appeal the sentence.
