It is no secret that Kennis Music duo, Kenny Ogungbe and Dayo Adeneye aka D1 started the revolution that has made Nigeria Music what it is today and they did that by giving exposure to Nigeria artist who had no means of selling their talents to the outside world. Some of the artist they have brought to limelight include Eldris Abdulkarem,Tuface, Sound Sultan, Jaywon,Kelly Hansome etc However most artists have for one reason or the other left the label.

In an interview with Yes International Magazine,he says it's painful when artists leave after they have been made stars
"Well, it can be a bit painful at times. Sometimes, it's discouraging, I can't lie to you. It is like watching a child you’ve raised. He goes through college, university; then gets married, somebody takes them off you. It can be saddening at times. But you have to let them go, if you love them. Most of them show appreciation. It can be annoying when they don’t appreciate and don’t remember where they were coming from. But we try to play it down. ‘But sometimes it can be a big deal. Fame and fortune are very difficult to manage. Somebody that didn’t see N20,000 yesterday starts seeing N4 million per show, he’s going to quickly forget Kenny and D-One. But we thank God we still remain relevant in what we do. And we will continue to do what we do as long as we love it"That's life for you but perhaps one day we will see a successful artist who will stay with the label that brought them to limelight. The biggest question is, if you needed someone to make you a super and pay you so much more, why don't you keep them around so you can even become even bigger stars.
