The saying, it is too late to cry when the head is off is appropriate for Charlie Sheen at the moment. The actor regrets falling out with his Two and a Half Men bosses, admitting he should have begged for his job back after he was fired from the sitcom.
The actor was replaced on the show by Ashton Kutcher in 2011 after he was dumped following a public spat with creator Chuck Lorre.
In the following months, Sheen launched a viral crusade against his former bosses and castmates, hosting an online radio show and even going on tour with a talk show.
Now the show has ended, without an expected Sheen return, the star admits he was wrong to fire off at his former bosses and feels he should have been more "humble".
He tells US TV show Extra, "I should have been a little more humble, more regretful, shouldn't have attacked them like I did and I probably should have begged for my job back.
"Beg is a colour I don't wear well; I probably should have requested my job back. I think that what went down was fixable and I made it irreparable."
