Luxembourg Prime Minister set to wed his gay partner

Xavier Bettel, the Prime Minister of Luxembourg (pictured right), will wed his gay partner, Belgian architect, Gauthier Destenay (left) today May 15th at a very private ceremony in Luxembourg. This will make him the first European Union leader to enter into a same-sex marriage and the second world leader to enter into a same sex marriage after Iceland’s prime minister Johanna Sigurdardottir, who married her writer partner in 2010. Bettel has been in a partnership with his partner since March 2010 and got engaged in August 2014.

Bettel who became Prime Minister in December 2013, told Belgium’s RTBF public television that he was getting married because he wants to accept his sexuality and avoid been unhappy all his life.
“I could have hidden it or repressed it and been unhappy my whole life. I could have had relations with someone of the other sex while having homosexual relations in secret. But I told myself that if you want to be a politician be honest in politics, you have to be honest with yourself and to accept that you are who you are.”
The low-key ceremony at the town hall in Luxembourg is being deliberately kept out off the media spotlight and will be followed by weekend-long private celebrations for around 500 guests.

WOW!!! Lesbian Couple finally wed after 72 years together(Photo)

Wow, not everyday you see couples wed after 72 years in a relationship not to mention lesbian couples. That's a long time not to be married and all along hoping for it.A couple who have dated for 72 years finally exchanged wedding vows at First Christian Church. Davenport. Boyack, 91, and Dubes, 90,met in 1947.

According to Quad-City Times,they decided to make their relationship legal now and were surrounded by family and a small group of close friends. Rev. Linda Hunsaker told the couple that, “This is a celebration of something that should have happened a very long time ago.” Over the years, the two have traveled to all 50 states, all the provinces of Canada, and to England twice. “We’ve had a good time,” Dubes said. Boyack added it takes a lot of love and work to keep a relationship going for 72 years.

Hollywood actor Neil Patrick Harris marries his logtime boyfriend

Hollywood actor, Neil Patrick Harris who became famous following his role in TV series Doogie Howser and his longtime partner David Burtka got married on Saturday September 6th at a very private wedding in Italy (Pic from their wedding left). The 'How I Met Your Mother' star took to twitter to make the announcement. The couple have been together for ten years and have a set of fraternal twins together.
