LIL WAYNE NAMES "THE BEST THING" HE'S EVER DONE

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne got in touch with his softer side over the weekend, crediting his journey into fatherhood as his biggest accomplishment to date.

 Despite breaking music and sales records, Weezy F. Babyhighlighted being a father as his greatest feat. "I gotta say,I've done some pretty amazing things in my time but the BEST thing I've ever did is becoming & BEING a father.,"

 Wayne tweeted November 16th. (Lil Wayne's Twitter) West Coast rapper Game shared a similar sentiment earlier in the week. "Being a FATHER is really the best thing that ever happened to me." (Game's Twitter) Back in 2010, one of Wayne's ex-girlfriends Lauren London called him a great father. "Motherhood has changed me alot," she revealed in an interview.

 "I've definitely calmed down. I had a temper in the past and I don't as much anymore. My son definitely puts stuff in perspective. The things I thought were really really important, aren't. I don't look at the surface as much anymore. A lot of things I was doing before were really selfish and now it's not about me. It's about him. I'm blessed that I am not parenting him alone.

 I have help and I get to do what I love. Wayne is a great dad. He's a great father. I have no complaints!" (Necole Bitchie) Last year, Wayne's former wife Toya Carter spoke to SOHH sharing a daughter with Weezy. "Yes, Reginae is very talented," Toya told SOHH. "She is very talented, smart and wise beyond her years. And I know Wayne feels the same way, that she's a star. [Her future?] It's really whatever she wants to do. She been doing music with her dad lately. As long as she's doing what she has to do in school and making good grades, I'll support anything else." (SOHH)

Lil Wayne taking a break from rap -- to

 Lil Wayne is issuing new music this month -- another entry in his "Dedication" mixtape series -- but after that, fans shouldn’t hold their breath for more from the Young Money leader. 

In an interview with DJ Drama on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 on Wednesday, Weezy expressed feeling a bit burnt out from rap and was looking to tackle another challenge. “Being me, I always feel like I ain’t done nothing yet, so I’m always looking for the next thing to do. 

It does get pretty boring when it comes to just the rapping and all that type of stuff,” he said. “I’ve been doing it since I was 8 and I’m about to be 30 in September.” Lil Wayne, who recently expanded his skater chic clothing line, TRUKFIT, to Macy’s stores, said he’s stepping back from the microphone in order to focus solely on skateboarding.

 "I picked up the skateboard and I thought it'd be a hobby and what happened is it's a lifestyle," he said. "You have to be fully committed because its super scary [Wayne broke his clavicle earlier this year]. In order to be fully committed you have to live that lifestyle. Like the young kids say, ‘You have to be about that life.’ It's kind of putting rap on the back burner.” "I think I deserve that," he continued.

 "I think fans deserve a little-to-no Wayne. I've been everywhere. I've been out on everybody's song. I’m still on everybody’s song. My artists have been doing awesome. I believe the fans deserve some peace from me. So I'll be on my skateboard in the meantime."

 No word on how far he plans on taking skateboarding, but it's doubtful Tony Hawk has anything to worry about. Wayne's "Dedication 4" mixtape will drop Aug. 15.
