Kristen Stewart went topless for her role in On The Road, and now she’s revealing WHY she shed her clothes for the part! K-Stew, 22, tells MTV News that she had to wait to take the role until she was old enough to go n*ked.
“It’s something that’s so talked about [and] predetermined — especially considering how young I was when I first started talking about everything,” she said.
“It would have been done different — very differently — if I was younger. You do want to get as close to an experience as you can, and anything that feels guarded in this particular movie would be so against the spirit of it.”
Kristen also told our sister site, Movieline, that she truly found herself while reading the book as a teen. “I learned through the book that you really have a choice about who you surround yourself with. [As a young adult] you realize you can choose who you’re surrounding yourself with. Up until that point you’re really circumstantially with your family or whatever but at some point you can ‘choose’ your family.”
