Last night, news went viral that former president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan had lost his son Ariwera. Thankfully, several aides of the former President have now confirmed that Ariwera is hale and hearty. They told SaharaReporters on Tuesday that his rumored death came as a surprise to them, as the boy is not even sick.
Social media outlets were buzzing with the rumor all of Tuesday. One of the initial sources of the misinformation was PDP chieftain, and former lawmaker, Senator Hosea Agboola’s verified Twitter timeline where he condoled with the ex-president. As of this morning, the condolence tweet has been deleted.
