But now Beyoncé has gone one step further than merely lending her name to a good cause.
The Halo hitmaker and songwriter Diane Warren have donated album track I Was Here to World Humanitarian Day.
Hoping to encourage people around the globe to do something positive for others, the 30-year-old star is keen for her influence will help to shine a spotlight on humanitarian work.
Beyoncé will film a video for the track at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York City in front of a live audience on August 19.
'We all see the headlines and we think what can I really do to help?', she said.
'World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference.
This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care.'
