Actress Omotola Defends Ben Murray-Bruce

I have been so proud but at the same time very observant of the activities of Senator-Elect Ben Murray-Bruce on twitter lately where he has spoken against corruption and the lavish lifestyle of  Nigerians with ill-gotten wealth but to my surprise, a lot of Nigerians are against him and that beats my imagination. Why would we openly love and praise politicians and businessmen who openly display their ill gotten wealth and blasts a man who is trying to speak against it and make an example of himself.

The media entrepreneur's has been perceived by many online as political grandstanding, and playing to the gallery to gain attention.

One person who has come to his defence is none other than the queen of Nollywood Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde. In a series of tweets made this morning, she defended Ben Murray-Bruce and criticized the trekking trend in Nigeria.

"And to those criticizing @benmurraybruce! Isn't this why Nigeria has no helpers? You stone death those who have the courage to step forward." she tweeted.
"Silly youths trekking their futures way. You don't trek to bring awareness to your suffering plights but trek to celebrate politicians?Smh!" tweeted Omotola on the trekking trend
